HYSA 2008-2009 Rec Plus Registration Announcement - Thursday, May 01, 2008

HYSA Rec Plus registration is now open.  Click HERE to register on-line or download the registration form.  Please indicate if you’re interested in being the assistant coach.

Rec plus is a recreational team that will have a trainer assigned to work with the parent coach. Rec plus fees are in between our regular recreational soccer fees and our Fusion Select soccer fees.  See "HAYS Academy" page for program details

NOTE:  Rec+ Academy Team formations are filled on a first come, first serve bases.  If you have any questions, please contact the HYSA Select Commissioner.

HYSA UPDATES-Announcement Date- - Tuesday, May 20, 2008

HYSA has updated it's  Constitution, Bylaws, and Playing Rules. Please see "Board Room" Tab to view documents.

Biggest Play Rule change relates to U10 Recreational Soccer.  Game format will be 8v8 with max roster size of 12.

 
Fusion Select Tryout Information- Announcement Date- - Monday, April 14, 2008

It is time to start planning for the next exciting soccer seasonal year Fall 2008-Spring 2009.

 Please note that Fusion is our HYSA select program and signing up for a tryout date does not quarantee placement on a Team. Individual team members will be selected after the tryout process has been completed.

Conduct Towards Referees- Announcement date- - Monday, February 20, 2006
Discourtesies to referees and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Refereeing soccer, like playing soccer, looks easier from the sidelines then it is on the field and the referee cannot see everything from all angles. Understand the laws of the game. 
 
 Inquire about calls respectfully.   If parents disagree with a call they should ask the coach to explain it.  Parents should not question referees directly under any circumstances.  PERIOD.
 
Treat them, whether or not you agree with their calls, as you would want to be treated. Look at the big picture.  Soccer is a GAME.  Most of our youth soccer players will stop playing before high school.  Keep the games inperspective.  If you cannot watch the game without losing control, stay home.
