John Harding started with Hays as a select trainer for Fusion in the Fall season of 2002. He has worked with several of the current select teams since then. John’s knowledge of coaching comes from nearly 12 years of coaching experience accompanied with his own coaching education. John has many current qualifications leading him to this position.

• USSF National "Y" (Youth) Coaching License.
• Directed and coached British Soccer Camps for Challenger Sports for 5 years in around 15 states of the U.S.
• Played as a goalkeeper and defender for Lenzie Union in the Strathclyde amateur leagues in Scotland for 4 years.
• Attend Cardonald College in Glasgow, Scotland to study a National Certificate in Community Sports Leadership and a Higher National Diploma in Sports Coaching with Sports Development within a Bachelor of Education’s degree in Sports Coaching.

John is working to continually improve the standard of our players and encourages all players to attend our HYSA Academies which are free for all Hays registered players. He wants to help promote HYSA in the local community and increase the standard, record and numbers within Hays Youth Soccer Association. John lives in Buda with his wife and 2 step-children.
